13 of My 15 Real Estate Listings Came From Video Marketing

I interviewed Dean Oullette from Thompson Realty in Phoenix, Arizona about the role that video marketing played in his real estate business.

“13 out of of my 15 current listings came from video marketing” said Dean.

It’s a story that I hear again and again as we prepare for SMMCamp 7 – Video Marketing for Real Estate on Thursday January 20 at 12 Noon Eastern.

Every speaker at SMMCamp has a similar story to tell and are all huge fans of video marketing and its positive impact on their business.

Keith and Shannon French of Buy Baltimore Properties credit video marketing with doubling their closed sales. Josh Aberson with Hegg Realtors in Sioux Falls, South Dakota video blogs as often as possible and Jim Duncan of Nest Realty Group dominates his local real estate market through video.

And they’ll show you exactly how they do it at SMMCamp this Thursday.

Here’s the 3 biggest mobile marketing blunders made by real estate professionals:

Note – most mistakes stem from a lack of budget. Don’t beat yourself up if you make all three blunders – it’s a big club filled with 99% of the real estate industry.

1. Fail to Understand the Difference between a Mobile Device and a PC

This may sound like an obvious failure but most real estate professionals don’t differentiate between a mobile device and a PC. They’re treated as the same thing and no effort is made to avoid their limitations or embrace their advantages.

They work completely differently and have their own pros and cons. Read more..

Mobile Real Estate – iPhone vs Android vs Blackberry

I’ve challenged myself to go mobile and start using mobile marketing to boost my real estate business.

The first step was to pick a smartphone.

This was a theoretical decision for me because I already own an iPhone and an iPad – and they’re awesome. I highly recommend the iPhone as it has the easiest navigation, is easy to use and, of course, has the best selection on apps (applications). Like they say, there’s an app for that!

To help you make a decision I dug up a little research:

The first thing that you should know is that 28% of all the phones in the U.S. are smartphones. More importantly, smartphones account for over 41% of all new phone sales.
